Individual Therapy

How it Works

Individual therapy is centered on weekly or biweekly meetings between you and a therapist. Good therapy is highly individualized, and Brite prides itself on providing that tailored approach. For some people, therapy is very structured: goals are set and skills are learned and practiced between sessions and refined as sessions progress. For other clients, sessions are more reflective, and the focus is on understanding the client’s past and how it impacts their life.

Beth often uses elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy in her practice. Beth explains to every client which approach (or approaches) she recommends and works collaboratively with them to make a plan to achieve their goals.
